Gaetan Le Divelec

Gaetan Le Divelec was born in Nantes (France) and has lived in London since 1986. A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, he completed his training at the Britten-Pears School for Advanced Musical Studies and the Banff Centre for the Arts & Creativity in Canada. He worked for 10 years as a freelance oboist and music teacher before joining the staff of Askonas Holt in 1999, where he managed a roster of conductors and instrumental soloists including Sir András Schiff, Cédric Tiberghien, Sunwook Kim, Evgeny Kissin, Alina Ibragimova, Alisa Weilerstein, Robin Ticciati and Nathalie Stutzmann.  He became a Director of the company in 2016-2020. He is currently on sabbatical.

Gaetan is passionate about supporting young talent and is a Trustee of the Young Classical Artists Trust. Over the years, he also served as Director of the Leicester International Music Festival 2004-2007, and Director & Trustee of the International Artist Managers’ Association 2014-2017. He is regularly invited as guest speaker and seminar leader by institutions including the Liszt Academy Budapest, Sciences Po in Paris, La Maestra / Taki Alsop Conducting Fellowship, Haute École de Musique de Lausanne, Sochi Winter International Arts Festival, Royal Academy of Music and Birkbeck College (University of London). In 2011, he was elected an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music for his services to music.
